Medium: Corel Painter 8.
When I first painted this picture, I named it "Living Dead Girl," after the Rob Zombie song, However, when I was working on the picture, it became apparent that the scene was reminiscent of Poe's "Fall of the House of Usher," when Madeleine escaped from her crypt after her premature burial, and insane from her ordeal, proceeded to put an end to her brother who had entombed her. A number of commenters at Elfwood also called my attention to the resemblance.
