Virgo, the Maiden, Earth Goddess, symbol of fertility. Since Virgo is an Earth sign, I tried to keep the colors centered around the more earthy tones. The jewel around her waist is the sapphire, traditional birthstone of Virgo, and the white flowers are a symbol of her purity of spirit.
Some of the Elfwood gallery viewers disputed my claim that the sapphire was actually the Virgo birthstone. It is, along with some secondary birthstones. I have been a Virgo for my entire life, as a matter of fact, and always wore the sapphire as my stone. ;)
