The character is from a beautiful Celtic folk song of the same name, wherein a knight, wounded in battle, seeks out the witch as his only chance of being healed of his wounds. She is shown here in her human form, although she also takes the form of a centaur. I took liberties with her costuming, which is described in the song as 'a gown of velvet blue bound round with a silver chain,' but we'll call it artistic license.
